Pickler returned to her mom in the year 1995 after she took over custody. However it did not take place as expected. After Pickler reached the age of 12years old, the court transferred her to her maternal grandparents who brought her up to adulthood. Pickler was, in the absence of her parents and her older siblings, became too busy to be a mother.
