Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American musician and popular actress. Raised by her mother within the USA she faced a lot of racial taunts which gave her feeling of being a bit unpopular. In the ninth grade, after a school audition where she received praises for her voice, she started to build confidence. Not only did it boost her confidence but her dreams transformed. At 22, she graduated from New York's Julliard School. In the year 23 she started her professional career, making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her biggest breakthrough was when she appeared in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway production of Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. The following year, in 2007, she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. Known as a singer she also released a single and an extended show. Also, she's an activist and is a tireless advocate to protect LGBT rights.
